I am an experienced coach, business facilitator and development practitioner and like to draw on my knowledge of development models and strategies to support my client’s development to enhance their effectiveness. I get great enjoyment from coaching assignments where elements of personal development, individual success and wellbeing, commercial strategy and operational imperatives merge. I like to help clients work through the complexity and focus on what’s important for them to grow their capabilities. Often this encompasses personal & professional change; role transitions; working with challenging teams; personal productivity and achieving an effective work-life balance. For the last 18 years I have been successfully running my independent coaching and consultancy business, working with directors, senior managers, educational leaders and professionals. My clients include market leaders such as Pfizer, Cadbury & NBC Universal. In addition, I also specialise in working with smaller organisations within education, public relations and commerce. Currently I am a Non-Executive Director of Davy’s of London, a selection of high end London wine bars. In my early career, I held senior roles in-house for Diageo & Anheuser-Busch European Trade where I was latterly HR Director. I have a number of clients with whom I’ve been working for many years. I like to develop long term working relationships with my clients, as in this way I can be more knowledgeable and valuable and the work we do together more productive. I also work on shorter term projects where I can quickly establish credibility and deliver specific outcomes. If an assignment requires it, I have a small group of trusted associates who work alongside me. My recent coaching experience & expertise includes: strategy & business development coaching for small business owners and managers; extensive leadership coaching experience including building resilience; developing engagement strategies; influencing & managing key stakeholders; personal development coaching for fast track senior managers with limited previous management training; team coaching for leaders – including visioning using the Hero’s Journey, developing communication and understanding the importance of perception; coaching Headteachers through significant periods of change; and coaching ‘recently qualified’ teachers as they embark on their leadership journey. Having graduated from Cambridge University with a Master’s Degree, I have recently completed a Diploma in Professional Coaching Practice and a Certificate in Team Coaching Practice. I credentialed with International Coaching Federation as an ACC and am working towards my PCC. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development. I am accredited to administer and interpret MBTI (Step 1 & 2), SDI & SHL psychometric profiling tools. I am a trained facilitator with Stephen Covey and Zenger Miller, and can also administer 360 Feedback processes.   On a personal note, for the last 8 years I have been a school governor at our local primary school. I am married with two children and love all sports regularly playing hockey & tennis.
